Coastal Cottage in the heart of downtown Cedar Key! This historic home has graced 1st Street for 90 years. A classic Cracker home, there are two beautifully decorated bedrooms (one queen, one full) and one full bath. HGTV's Coastal Collection Paint highlights the vaulted ceiling, wainscoting and original doors. Recently uncovered heart pine floors glow with Cedar Key pride. Quality furniture, TVs, and mattresses/linens. The breezy wraparound front porch with locally made porch swing and adirondack chairs makes an ideal spot for people watching, reading, sipping tea, or just relaxing.
The Ida Belle Cottage was once home to Mrs. Ida Belle Davis, who raised her family here. Though Mrs. Ida Belle is no longer with us, her family continues to live and work in Cedar Key. When you enter the house, don't forget to look on the wall just to your left, a little tribute to the cottage's namesake is there for your enjoyment. A true Southern woman, she would want you to stay and be comfortable. Most of all, she would want you to see Cedar Key the way she did--from the little cottage on 1st Street.
This is a pet friendly unit! Pet fee is as follows: Pet fee of $45 per night will be charged at booking or prior to check in, depending on which site you booked. $180 per week of after four nights or $420 per month. If you did not pay a pet fee on booking, please contact us immediately. Evidence of pets in unit without paying the pet fee as required will result in a penalty of $300 charge to your card on file. Please check with us on any other pets. We do require that pets do not get on bed or furniture. Please do not leave barking dogs in the unit. Please pick up after your pet when outdoors.

About the Owner
Our family has grown up on the water in this area. Starting off fishing and crabbing, our lives on the water have brought us to Cedar Key for the last 20+ years. Jon and Shawn own and operate Southern Cross Sea Farms, a wholesale/retail clam business here in town. Caryn owns and operates Pelican Realty just around the corner. Jenny is a music teacher. We love Cedar Key and always want to do what we can to protect it.Location

Cancellation Policy: One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges (less $50.00 cancellation fee) will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 30 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
Festivals and holidays are a three night minimum stay. Checkout at 10 am. Late Checkouts may be available with prior knowledge ($50 surcharge for after hours cleaning service) if not already occupied. CANCELLATION POLICY: More than 30 days prior to stay--100% refund. Less than 30 days prior to stay--no refund. PLEASE NOTE: We do not offer a discount for week-long or month-long visits.
